What's a Dream Team?

The Dream Teams Program provides corporate and community partners with an opportunity to experience a hands-on team building session for their leaders, which supports the mission and work of the local Habitat for Humanity.

Teams work together on-site to build interpersonal communication skills and confidence while contributing efforts toward building a home for a deserving family.  Working side-by-side, productivity and accountability among work team members becomes imperative.

Frederick Habitat's own Executive Director, Ron Cramer, will guide team members to an increased awareness of the behaviors, attitudes, and other factors that contribute to team effectiveness.  Ron will meet in advance with the corporate leadership to determine specific group objectives.

How many team members can participate?

To ensure a safe and productive work environment, participation is limited to 15 team members.

Where and when would the team report?

Team building and debriefing will be held at the construction site designated by Frederick Habitat.  We are building year-round, with each session offering a unique atmosphere for learning.

How much will this cost?

The cost for an 8-hour facilitated team building program is $3,000.  Each team member will receive a t-shirt, break-time refreshments, and lunch.  Cameras are also provided for work teams to document their progress.  Corporations may deduct $2,000 as a tax-deductible contribution to Habitat for Humanity of Frederick County, MD, Inc.

How about safety?

Frederick Habitat's high standards for safety are strictly enforced.  A pre-training safety briefing will be scheduled at least two weeks prior to the training date at the location of the participating business.  The one-hour session outlines all safety precautions and heightens awareness of possible hazards.
