ReStore sells donated goods to the public to raise funds to build more Habitat homes for hardworking families in need in the Frederick community.

ReStore uses some of the donated materials to build local Habitat houses.

ReStore offers new and used building materials, appliances, household items and furniture to the public at a fraction of retail cost.

ReStore provides individuals and businesses a place to donate usable items that may be eligible for a tax deduction.

ReStore promotes conservation by diverting tons of still-usable materials away from local landfills. More than 40 percent of landfill space across the country is filled with construction materials.

What kind of materials and furnishings does the ReStore accept and sell?
ReStore accepts a wide variety of materials and furnishings. Donations may be tax-deductible. For a list of acceptable and non-acceptable donations, please click here.
How can I volunteer?
We schedule volunteers for the ReStore on a case-by-case basis. Volunteers are expected to commit to multiple days of service. It is perfect for fulfilling county-regulated community service hours. To become a volunteer, contact

Will The ReStore pick up my donations?
Yes. If you would like to schedule a pick-up of your donation, please contact Faith Pippins at faith.pippins@frederickhabitat.org or 301-662-2988 x4.
If you would like to have the items for donation picked up from your Frederick County residence, we would be happy to do so. Donations being picked up by the ReStore must be either on the first floor, garage or porch with easy access. Items left in the garage or on the porch must be clearly marked for Habitat donation.

Are donations to the ReStore tax-deductible?
The ReStore will provide you a receipt for your donation. However, it is up to you and your tax preparer to determine how much of your donation is tax-deductible.
