Frederick County Affordable Housing Land Trust
Neighborhood Revitalization: 4th-7th Street

We are keeping busy in Frederick County with multiple projects underway under all of our programs!  Whether it be revitalization efforts to help homeowners maintain their home, land trust properties to be sold at an affordable rate, or traditional home builds for qualifying families. All of our work is aimed at providing affordable homeownership for people in Frederick County.

The Neighborhood Revitalization (NR) brings together Habitat for Humanity of Frederick County, local partners and residents of the uptown neighborhood to change the face of their neighborhood. Through NR, we offer an expanded array of products, services and partnerships to realize a shared vision for the quality of life that Frederick County residents want to achieve and sustain. To find out more about the program, click here.

We are currently accepting applications for home repair projects within and outside our Neighborhood Revitalization area.  To apply for home repair services, contact Jennifer Minnick at 301-698-2449 x6 or email jminnick@frederickhabitat.org.

The Frederick County Affordable Housing Land Trust acquires properties throughout Frederick County, rehabilitates the houses and resells them to potential homeowners minus the land cost in an effort to supply affordable workforce housing. To find out more about the Land Trust, click here.

We are currently seeking properties in Frederick for purchase or donation to rehabilitate for future homeowners.

National Women Build Week

Each spring, Habitat for Humanity of Frederick County is one of 300 Habitat affiliates nationwide who participate in National Women Build Week sponsored by Lowe's. Each year, the build week challenges women from all walks of life to come together to address poverty housing.

Frederick County Habitat was happy to participate in the national event once again during 2017.  To see pictures of the activities from the week, click here.

Park Avenue Build

Our current home build is bringing women from around Frederick County together to build a new, single-family, ranch-style home on Park Avenue in Brunswick with one of our partner families. National Women Build Week (May 6-14) brought the first volunteers to this site and construction is now well underway.
