Volunteers are critical to the success of our work in the community. We value and appreciate your gift of time in supporting our work to provide affordable housing in Frederick County, MD.

Current volunteer opportunities:

• Construction (opportunities for groups and individuals!)

• Construction Crew Leaders

• Habitat ReStore

• Office Administration

• Committees

• Events

 

There are certain age restrictions to volunteer with Habitat:

• Individuals between ages 14 and 16 can only work with the volunteer positions located at the Habitat office and most A Brush With Kindness projects.

• Individuals aged 16 to 18 can do general construction. However, they cannot do any form of excavation, demolition, use power tools, work at heights above 6 feet, or do roofing.

• Any volunteer over the age of 18 can do any of the various construction-related jobs on the site.

• Individuals between ages 16-17 can volunteer in our ReStore if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
