Our Habitat Programs

The most important people associated with Habitat for Humanity are the families who live in the houses we build. In Frederick County, MD, our affiliate has provided 33 new homes to families in the community.

These homes are sold, not given, to approved homeowner applicants. Homeowners pay monthly mortgage payments toward the full ownership of their homes, which are built and sold at below market value. Moving into and owning a Frederick Habitat home improves the quality of life for its residents, not only in their physical surroundings, but also by instilling a sense of pride and responsibility which comes with home ownership.

Neighborhood Revitalization (NR) Program

The Neighborhood Revitalization (NR) is a partnership whereby Habitat for Humanity of Frederick County, neighborhood residents and local partners can change the face of neighborhoods and the lives of the families who live there – forever.

Through the NR, we offer programs designed to serve more families by responding to community needs with an expanded array of products, services and partnerships. With resident input and community focus, we are developing partnerships with a range of organizations and groups. The goal is to realize the shared vision for the quality of life that Frederick County residents want to achieve and sustain.
